Brookfield Zoo

On the final day of nice weather before our "real Chicago winter" kicked in, we went to the Zoo with the Lloyds. Sophie and Mya with....something!

It really was such a pretty day. Plus there are a lot of buildings with animals. AND this zoo is totally flat! No big hills or anything. I thought I was in heaven. (If you have been to the Hogle or Nashville Zoos, you know what I am talking about). We went at about 2:30 or 3 and there weren't very many people at all. It started to get cold about closing time (5), so it worked out nicely.

The girls in the photo booth.

Libby was jealous she had to ride a lot of the time. I would have been too. She is probably telling me, "I out! I out!" right here.

My favorite building that we went in was the one with the dolphins. I even let Livi out for that one. The girls ran around and had a blast. Every time a dolphin would swim by, the would get so excited.

Livi, watching a dolphin swim by.

Soph and Mya on a giant gorilla.

Livi got her turn too. Poor thing, it really is hard being the little sister.

We went to another building next. I think this is the one with the penguins, but they aren't in this spot.

I wanted Livi to look at the waterfall. She refused. Anyway, there is a waterfall there.

Sophie, just checking things out. I really should have taken better notes on the animals we saw.

On our way out, we passed by this sled. You can tell Livi is trying to get out.

It's being pulled by some polar bears. Thanks Jessye and girls for inviting us to the zoo!

A zoo with no hills sounds amazing. My free loading, no walking kids is what I think every time I push them up the hill by the giraffes.
Looking forward to seeing you guys this week.
