Snow Girl

We have had two pretty small snowfalls here in suburban Chicago. Of course, Sophie thought she was in heaven. The first snow came on the 9th. She made a snow angel.

We needed more snow, for sure. She was pretty disappointed she couldn't make a snowman that day too.

Then just this past weekend was the second fall. We got a bit more snow, but still not enough for a snowman. Luckily there was enough to eat "snow cones" (aka snow off of her gloves).

I let her play outside for about a half an hour. I watched her through the big bay window in our kitchen. Even when it was time to come in and her hands were nearly blue, she still put up a fight. I keep trying to tell her that there will be lots more snow. (After we played outside today in nearly 50 degrees, she is even more skeptical...)

Libby was waiting for Jacob to go run an errand with him. So she just watched and laughed at Sophie playing in the snow outside. I have a feeling I am going to have to get more in touch with my winter side...sounds cold.
