Bree-n-Me
Last week my dearest of dear friends, Bree, came to Milwaukee for a wedding. Originally I thought I might get to tag along for the whole weekend, but then the reality of my uber-clingy littlest daughter hit me and I decided I could probably only be away one night. Luckily, Bree and her family accommodated. So, I drove up to her parent's house (about 90 miles away) last Sunday night. We stayed up way too late talking and laughing. Then we went to bed and I got to wake up when my body was ready to...not when Sophie was ready to. :)
We started our Monday with a delicious breakfast and the pedicures. The pedicure people were very concerned that we had worn real shoes and made us stay extra long to make sure our toes dried all the way. We figured we could chat anywhere, so we might as well just stay a while.
Then her mom, sister, brother and a couple nieces met us for a pizza lunch. Once again, the highlight was being able to eat and NOT worry about how much food my kids were throwing on the floor. After lunch we went to a learning things store. We found all sorts of fun/educational things for our kids. We restrained ourselves though and just bought a couple of things. Then I had to head home. I promised I would be home no later than bedtime, and I easily made it. Thank you so much, Bree for the best day I have had in a very long time. Please come this direction more often!

And thank you for lying about the delicious breakfast - haha! But I just wanted to point out that you left out the part about the AMAZING custard - it must have slipped your mind ;) haha :D LOVE you tons!! Can't wait to play this summer!!! (And PS - don't forget there's always room at our house for 3 or 4 more ;) Next time I want to see your cutie house!
