"Camping"
All last weekend Jacob wanted to build a little campfire for the girls. But the wind was so blustery that we just couldn't. Well, Monday things calmed down enough and it wasn't too cold, so we did that for FHE.
The ladies-ready for camping. That is what Jacob called it and since we don't actually camp, they didn't know any better! I let Sophie wear a jacket of mine because I didn't want hers smokey and Livi wore an old jacket of hers that doesn't really fit well anymore. Don't they look excited?!
Our fire was pretty good! Daddy-O built it with is bare hands and kept it going.
Plus he was chief in charge of marshmallows. He also gave the lesson on the Pilgrims and the First Thanksgiving. We sang some primary songs too, I am sure the neighbors thought we were weird. In fact, a group of high school kids walked by and gave us some funny looks.
Here is the peanut gallery that let Dad do all the work. I did manage to keep the littles out of the fire though, so I am counting that as my contribution. And I decided that if sitting outside for 30 minutes roasting marshmallows and then going into my house to sleep in my bed is camping, then maybe I DO like camping!

we got to have a fire in the fireplace on thanksgiving. that was fun :)
Thats my kind of camping too! The girls are adorable!
I love sitting around a campfire. It's really the best part of camping in my opinion. Well my mom's breakfast hash she makes is good too. My point is campfire is always fun, and you are smart to have it in your own backyard.
